About

The Craft to Company Story

The idea of Craft to Company came about a few years ago. Emma started her own craft company in 2019 and struggled to find others in the same boat or advice from those a few steps ahead. Whilst she loved following some big creators who had amazing blogs and podcasts, so much of it was discussing huge companies turning over millions who were weren't relatable to people like her, just starting out. Whilst it was great to hear their inspiring stories, she was looking for advice for smaller companies that enabled the owners to leave a job they hate, work around the kids or relocate to their dream home by the beach, just like she did.

For a while Craft to Company was put on the back burner, but during Covid and the subsequent cost of living crisis, it was needed more than ever. That's when she teamed up with Laura, who was just starting out on her own craft company journey but had lots of prior experience in the world of business, social media and starting something new.

So many people are looking to earn some additional money, change their lifestyle and do something they enjoy. But where do you start? Hopefully you'll find the answers you're seeking and support from those in the same boat here at Craft to Company.

Emma

The Wire Writing Co + Craft T Club

Having run 2 bikes shops with now husband Jon for 8 years, they upped sticks and moved from hertfordshire to the coast in Cornwall. Being inspired by the many creatives and entrepreneurs she discovered, Emma launched The Wire Writing Co with great success. In the summer of 2023 Emma launched Craft T Club, a hub for all things craft selling kits, supplies and running courses in her home town of Newquay.

Emma will talk business all day every day if she could. Helping others along their own entrepreneurial journey brings her great joy and she hopes that Craft To Company will do that on a much larger scale.

Laura

Levoco Chocolate

Laura, her husband Henry, and their son Levy decided to move to Weymouth after the pandemic's challenges. After a work accident left her with 70% less hand movement, Laura went on a mission to find joy in life again. During a fun chocolate course, where she was joined by a couple of friendly elderly participants, the spark for a creative business idea ignited. That's how Levoco Chocolates came to life.

Laura is a self confessed certificate collector, she has PADI diving under her belt and she's even licensed to handle venomous snakes – a clear sign of her daring spirit! She's always up for exciting new experiences and is constantly on the lookout for fresh opportunities

Laura loves connecting with people and finds real joy in building meaningful relationships that can benefit everyone involved and making a positive impact.
